While traveling, stopped to have lunch at the Cracker Barrel which was packed so found this locally owned eatery. Was not disappointed. Our server was a high school young man that was very courteous, polite and prompt. Tried the pimento cheese fritters, oh my delish. The green salad and grilled chicken avocado was also delish. Oh, and the oreo cheesecake was also the perfect end to our lunch. Oh, and offered a military discount. Highly recommend.
As a first-time visitor, I was concerned because so few diners were there during the lunch hour. We came to the conclusion that this is because, this is not fast food. However, there were nine in my group and we were all happy with our food. Appetizers, entrees and dessert were ordered. Not one complaint about the food. My chicken fried chicken, was the best I have had in years. The gravy and mashed potatoes were excellent. I'm looking forward to a return visit.

Have passed by many times and finally decided to stop in and give Sage a try. Just a local joint with some general comfort food. We had the chicken fried chicken and smoked turkey. The smoked turkey was really good and I’d recommend it!
We were passing through and had a great experience. We got there around 4:30 on a Sunday so it was not busy. The server was friendly and prompt I had the “Fancy Fun Fried Chicken” with collard greens and parmesan broccoli. Wife had the “Chicken Fried Chicken” with fried green tomatoes and garlic mashed potatoes. We had the “Fried Banana Pudding for dessert. Everything was hot and delicious.
Excellent on tap selection, locally owned, and fantasic food. This place puts bdubs BWW in the dirt. If you are in the area, try the chicken tender plate with cajun style fried okra. I have not been dissappointed with anything else on the menu - salads, wings, and redneck chicken and especially the service!
